Activity Lead
This part-time position will be either in Port Angles and/or Sequim.
Job Description
An Activity Lead is responsible for planning, with assistance from leadership, organizing and implementing instructional and activity programs for adults and students of all abilities especially supporting thoses with developmental disabilities. The Activity Lead is also responsible for providing recommendations to the Program Coordinator, and Executive Director for future learning experiences, activities, and field trip opportunities.
Work Role and Responsibilities:
- Works with leadership to develop, and teach clear/concise classroom rules, routines, procedures and expectations.
- Delivers lead utilizing appropriate resources, equipment, materials, technology and instructional strategies.
- Provides differentiated instruction based on the participants’ individual level of functioning and preferred learning modalities.
- Models positive behaviors demonstrating appropriate and respectful interactions with participants, staff and volunteers.
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to cope with change.
- Clearly communicates with co-instructors and volunteers.
- Maintains confidentiality of participant information.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelors in Education or other relevant field and at least 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. OR Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated skill working effectively and communicating clearly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disability and their families
- Motivated, organized and possess good time management abilities

Community Engagement Coach
This part-time, 20 - 30 hours per week, will be in Port Angles and Sequim.
Job Description
A Community Engagement Coach provides one-on-one services to individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. The services are designed to increase a client’s engagement community activities of their choosing. The Coach coordinates information, develops connections, provides referral/outreach and facilitates inclusion of individuals with developmental disabilities.
Work Role and Responsibilities:
- Work with clients, families, DDA Case Managers and CE Coordinator to improve client access to community.
- Work one-on-one with clients to achieve community access goals.
- Effectively communicate with peers, clients, families, case managers and supervisor.
- Maintain case notes. Report monthly on each client’s goals, success, hurdles, outcomes and next steps.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Experience in providing direct assistance to individuals with disabilities, or comparable training, education/skills
- Demonstrated skill working effectively and communicating clearly with individuals with intellectual/developmental disability and their families
- Motivated, organized and possess good time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Must pass DSHS background check
